14 Weeks

No chalkboard because we are on vacation!!!
How far along: 14 Weeks 1 day
Total weight gain: We've been on vacation for the past week and half and I am happy to say that in that time, I have not stepped on a scale... so I have no idea how much weight I've gained as of this week.
Maternity clothes: I bought a few shirts this week, while we were in Houston and have worn one for fun really (pictured above). My shorts and pants are starting to feel a little tight especially when sitting, so I think my belly band will be coming in handy soon.
Stretch marks: None
Sleep: Much better in the past 2 weeks.  My middle of the night potty breaks have almost stopped completely!  I am finding new pillow needs and will be exploring my options especially once we return home.
Symptoms: The pooch is there and firm as felt by my family this past week.  Morning sickness decided that the 2nd trimester would be the time to make it's debut.  I spent all day Sunday in bed or over the toilet.  Yesterday I was tired and still throwing up!  GROSS!
Best moment last week: Getting to see both my parents and my in-laws.  It was a lot of traveling but I had a really good time with all my family! This is a picture of me in Charleston at the Museum with my dad (taking the picture)

Miss anything: Energy!
Movement: None yet
Food Cravings: Still salty stuff, and rice is always amazing.
Anything make you sick or queasy: beef, seeing other people get sick, I'm also very sensitive to smells - hard to say exactly which ones make me sick, though.
Gender: We find out on August 7 - No inkling as to boy or girl
Belly Button in or out: in
Wedding rings on or off: on
Mood: Mostly happy, unless hot or tired
Looking forward to: Spending the week on the lake with my hot hubby of 3 years.  Here's the view!  Isn't it amazing???

12 Weeks

How far along: 12 Weeks 1 day
Total weight gain: 0-1 lbs Weighed 133 at the Dr. and have been around 130-131 at home but that is first thing in the morning before eating and drinking so mostly the same.
Maternity clothes: Not yet.  I did go ahead and buy a belly band at the recommendation of so many to get the most out of my pre-pregnancy clothes.
Stretch marks: None
Sleep: So-So.  Only getting about 2-3 hours at a time time between potty breaks.  I've also been very restless in the early morning hours.
Symptoms: A little pooch is staring to develop, still very tired and have to pee all the time.
Best moment this week: Getting to hear the heartbeat of our baby (164 beats per minute).  The nurse found the heartbeat so easy and the Dr. said everything looks great!
Miss anything: Being able to get through a day without needing a nap.
Movement: None yet
Food Cravings: Still salty stuff and I'm loving the cheese as long as it's not string.
Anything make you sick or queasy: beef, seeing other people get sick
Gender: We find out on August 7 - many friends say the high heartbeat means a girl - we're not convinced.
Belly Button in or out: in
Wedding rings on or off: on
Mood: Mostly happy
Looking forward to: Getting the house reorganized to make room for Baby Webber.  Finding out the gender!

Can I get a little Organization Please?

Ok, so I have a board on Pinterest called "Good Ideas" and I pin things that I literally say "That's a good or sometimes even great idea!"  I have a few organizing pins in this board and yesterday I was inspired Pinspired to organize our medicine cabinet.  We use a cabinet in our kitchen for medicine because you aren't actually supposed to keep them in your bathroom.  Well, our cabinet was in complete shambles!  You couldn't find anything without taking everything out first and then it all just got piled in after you found __________.  Here is the before picture (very embarrassing!)
As you can see it's a mess!  Plus there was extra stuff (top shelf) that didn't even belong in that cabinet!  So I took it upon myself to get organized!  Here is my pinspiration that I used to help with this project.
organized medicine cabinet-- BTW, this entire website has amazing organizing tips.
I had some plastic baskets but not enough, I took a trip to the store to buy more baskets and a wire shelf to help with space.  I sorted all of our medical supplies by categories that made sense to me and got the trusty label maker out.  I am very pleased with the results!
Now, I can see everything I need and get an entire basket down to find my cure without having to empty my entire cabinet!  This should make life just a little bit easier.

Happy Pinning!

Monogram Wreath

I know we've all seen the adorable wreaths with a letter in the middle... Aren't they just the cutest!?!  I have several pinned to my "Crafts" board.  Here is where my inspiration came from

When I set out to make my own wreath I really wanted the letter and the house numbers.  As I set everything out and got started, I realized that this was not going to happen!  I chose to use the letter instead of the numbers because I love anything with a W on them! Here is what I started with - a twisted branch wreath, flowers, a wooden W, and some scrapbook paper. (Supplies were purchased at Hobby Lobby and Joann's)
The first thing I did was decoupage my W with a fun Spring scrapbook paper.  Here is my picture tutorial of how I like to decoupage letters.  Not by any means the best way, but I like it and it works!
Trace the letter wrong side up on the back side of your paper so you won't have any tracing lines on your pretty paper.

Cut and mod podge. Yes, the cut out is a little bigger than the letter - I like doing it this way to account for any errors.  I do one thin coat under the paper then lay the paper on the letter.  Let that dry completely to make sure you get out any bubbles (use a bone folder to get out bubbles)  After the under layer of mod podge is dry, then coat the top and then let dry.  I actually did the rest of the wreath while my letter was drying.

Once the letter is completely dry, take an exacto knife and cut off all the excess edges.  If you don't make sure to let the letter completely dry, your paper will tear and you won't get a clean line.
Here is my W with all the edges cut off.
For the rest of the wreath, I just cut off all the flowers and arranged them how I liked and hot glued everything in place.  I liked having more flowers than my inspiration wreaths, so I put flowers on both sides of the wreath on an angle.
The last thing to add was my W.  I used left over brown ribbon to attach the W to the wreath.  I threaded the ribbon through the back of the wreath and just hot glued the letter to the ribbon so that it hung the way I liked.
Here is the finished product!  I was very pleased with how it turned out!  I love pulling into my driveway to see it!
Happy Pinning!

A New Blog

So I've been a Pinterest addict for about a year now.  I LOVE PINTEREST!!! It's such an amazing concept and there are just so many ideas to be shared on the wonderful site!  I use Pinterest on a weekly, if not daily basis in my home and my classroom and I want to share with others what I am doing with all this inspiration Pinspriation.  This blog is dedicated to my own journey of crafts, home improvements, and classroom projects!  Enjoy!
